Our team

Peter Carroll

Peter is a founding Director of Tendo Consulting and has been involved with the Centre since its inception.  A physicist by training, Peter has worked in local, regional and national politics for over 30 years including a spell as a Special Advisor in H M Treasury.  He has set up and won some of the highest profile Public Relations and Government engagement campaigns in recent times.  He brings his expertise in how Parliament and government really work to his projects with institutions, organisations, and businesses seeking to influence policy.

Carys Davis

Carys is public affairs consultant and trainer with eighteen years' experience in politics and public affairs. She runs The Other Place Public Affairs agency, having worked, consulted and trained for businesses, trade bodies, regulators, charities and universities. Before setting up The Other Place, Carys worked for two front-bench MPs as a caseworker/campaigner and Parliamentary Researcher, as a Policy Adviser on the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs portfolio for a UK political party, and as a political consultant for the leader of the Maldivian Democratic Party.

Daniel Laing

Daniel is a Senior Account Director at Tendo Consulting and a training program leader at the Research Policy Impact Centre. He has a decade of expertise in public affairs, media, and parliamentary engagement. Daniel has worked on issues including health, higher education, tech, and welfare, with notable success in campaigning on cancer, earning multiple awards. Prior to Tendo, he led a team at a leading political monitoring agency. Daniel's extensive experience includes supporting academics to influence policy, a role he has held since the Centre's inception.
